Angels Baby Store

, , ,

While working in Cape Town, South Africa during my industrial placement, I was approached by a company called Inspired by Angels to build them an e-commerce website. Realising that this would make an ideal final year project the idea was put forward and accepted.

This website was created using a combination of Flash, PHP and MySQL. The idea that Flash could be used for more than just graphics had always really interested me, so this project proved an ideal time to explore this area of web design. At the start of the project I had never used PHP before and had to learn everything from scratch. It was hard at first, but after a few weeks research everything started to click into place.

The website contains a registration page where the customers can enter their details which are then stored in a MySQL database. Once the details have been entered they are able to login and order items from the shop. All the shop items and prices are generated dynamically and can be updated by the client easily.
