Wordpress 2.5 where art thou?

I have been looking forward to the March 10th release of WordPress 2.5 for some time now, but as the day drifted by it became apparent that this was not going to be happening. The delay is due to last a week, maybe more, but hopefully it’s nothing major and will be with us soon. Perhaps a fault was found in the final stages of bug testing or they want to make a few last minute changes to the admin section following recent comments on the wordpress message board. While I hope the release happens soon, I am also happy for them to take their time to ensure the code is nice, tight and bug free.

For the impatient ones among you there’s a preview of wordpress 2.5 available. The username is admin and the password is demo. Apparently it is refreshed once every hour. Enjoy…
